As an event that has connected people for over 30 years, we understand the weight and importance of the impact we create in the world. In this context, we are leaders in various actions aimed at promoting social responsibility.
We are committed to ensuring that Hospitalar has a positive impact on people and the planet. We want to play a key role in helping the entire healthcare community improve its own sustainability by connecting people with the networks and knowledge they need to help address the major challenges of the future.
1. Inspiring sustainability
Incorporate sustainability into our brand to inspire our industry to become more sustainable, promoting the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

2. Environmental Responsibility
Contribute at least 1% of profit before tax to community groups, champion diversity and inclusion, and create value for our host cities.

Highlights 2025
Better Stands is a global program for the events industry, which aims to achieve zero waste from stands by 2030. The initiative aims to encourage exhibiting companies to abandon the use of disposable (single-use) stands and prioritize the use of reusable structures.
By making their stand projects sustainable, builders and exhibitors will be recognized with Bronze, Silver, and Gold seals at their stands during Hospitalar, and after the event, they will receive a digital certificate based on their respective levels of progress.
We want to have a positive impact on our local community, and in our 2025 edition, we had the opportunity to make a social impact through support for institutions such as:
- Doctors Without Borders
- Jô Clemente Institute
- Doctors of Joy
- Rare Theater
Hospitalar 2026 continues to reinforce its social commitment through a solidarity initiative: a portion of ticket sales will be donated to Instituto Jô Clemente and Expedicionários da Saúde. These nonprofit organizations provide rehabilitation services, medical assistance, and essential care to thousands of people. By participating in the event, you help strengthen these causes and transform lives.

At Hospitalar 2026, we had several initiatives that contributed to the sustainability of the planet, the sector, and the care of our audience. Let's take a look at some of them:
- Totems exclusively focused on sustainability;
- 100% of the carpet is reused;
- An app with access to content and maps, reducing paper waste;
- Ambulances available 24/7;
- Constant maintenance of the carpets to prevent accidents.
Help Improve the Sustainability of Hospitalar
As a visitor
- Consider how you will travel to the event and whether you can avoid air travel or use low-carbon transportation options, such as public transportation, complimentary shuttle services, or carpooling;
- Recycle your waste at the venue and at your hotel whenever possible;
- Consider choosing vegetarian or vegan food options and avoid food waste;
- Only take the giveaways or printed materials that you need and will use; consider whether digital alternatives are available;
- Consider the environmental credentials of the hotel when deciding where to stay.

As an exhibitor
- Ensure that your booth can be reused by your company or by your contracted stand builder;
- Consider the waste your booth will generate and try to minimize it as much as possible. Ensure that any unavoidable waste is recycled;
- Select LED lighting and other energy-efficient equipment for your booth and make sure all equipment is switched off at the end of each day;
- Optimize your transportation by consolidating shipments and choosing logistics providers with strong sustainability credentials;
- Reduce paper distribution by going digital and source sustainably certified paper whenever printing is necessary;
- Participate in the many initiatives and discussions throughout the event designed to support and inspire sustainable development within your industry;
- Inspire sustainable development in your sector by showcasing your company’s sustainability credentials and those of your products and services.

BETTER STANDS
Created in 2019 by Informa, the organizer of Feimec, Better Stands is a global program aimed at eliminating waste generated by exhibition stands. To achieve this, we encourage exhibitors and stand builders to replace disposable (single-use) stands with reusable ones, significantly reducing environmental impact.
Why join Better Stands?
Disposable stands account for more than 70% of the waste produced at events, generating significant environmental issues. Better Stands was created to address this problem, aiming to transform events into examples of sustainability and safety.
