Institute of Technological Research invests in prosthesis tests
The Institute of Technological Research (IPT) has announced a US$ 800 thousand investment to expand its laboratory capacity to perform tests on orthopedic implants.
The funds are intended to readjust the laboratory infrastructure and involve purchasing new equipment. According to IPT, the goal is to contribute to the reliability of both the materials manufactured in the country and imported ones as of December, when the works should be completed, thus abiding by at least 15 standard rules and methods of the Brazilian Association of Technical Rules (ABNT).
The project includes eight laboratories of several technology institutes and universities of the country and is designed in partnership with the Technical School of the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP) and with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT).
