Brazilian pacemaker receives an award
The 100% Brazilian pacemaker project, developed by the Genius Institute of Technology, in partnership with Dixtal, Finep and the Heart Institute (InCor), received the award “Excellence in R & D”, granted by the magazine Informática Hoje (Information Technology Today). The aim of this award is to highlight the initiatives and researches that are innovative and socially relevant.
Mário Ferreira Filho, Genius manager of corporate projects, affirms that the Brazilian project will allow the development of competences in microelectronic area. This generates qualified workforce and inserts Brazil in a market whose technology is held by a few. The project is now in negotiation phase for a pre-industrial prototype development of the pacemaker, already with the electric and mechanic characteristics of the final product. |
