Johnson & Johnson is 100% smoke-free

Johnson & Johnson, worldwide company of healthcare products, celebrates the results of its World Policy for a Smoke-Free Workplace Environment. Since the beginning of 2007, the company decided to completely restrain the cigarettes consumption in all of its premises. In Brazil, this policy directly benefits more than 4,8 thousand employees and, up until now, about 380 people have already joined the company’s assistance program for those who wish to quit smoking.

For Izabel Rivas, Johson & Johnson’s Employees’ Assistance Program (PAE) psychologist, adopting a smoke-free workplace environment stimulates more and more people to cut down on smoking or to definitely quit smoking. “Since the implementation of the new policy, many employees have spontaneously joined the company’s anti-smoke program which, since 2000, helps employees, family members and third-party workers in the challenge to quit smoking”, highlights Izabel.
