Maestro João Carlos Martins gave a
sophisticated touch to HOSPITALAR’s dinner

Closing the HOSPITALAR’s dinner with a touch of sophistication, the guests were granted the chance of seeing a presentation of the renowned pianist and maestro João Carlos Martins. Alongside his orchestra Bachiana Chamber, he was invited by HOSPITALAR for this special presentation, providing one of the most thrilling moments of the night.

Having his talent recognized in Brazil as well as abroad, the maestro João Carlos Martins stands out to a level rarely reached by other Brazilian musicians in the 20th century. Regarded as one of the greatest interpreters of Johann Sebastian Bach, one of the most important moments of his career was the recording of the whole work for keyboards of this genius of music. Due to physical problems, he had to abandon his pianist career, dedicating his passion for music to conducting orchestras.

During the dinner, even without part of his hands movements, the maestro made a short presentation and received a rapturous ovation by approximately 500 guests.
